How to get to the hotel
The Saint-Nicolas parking lot is ideally located 600 meters from the train station and easily accessible by car via a ring road, to the east of the city. The airport of La Rochelle – Île de Ré is 6 km away.
By car
Arrival from the South, from Bordeaux, Royan and Rochefort:
Take the La Rochelle Centre-Ville/Lagord exit, then follow the direction of the Vieux Port Ouest. The hotel is located at the pedestrian exit of this parking lot on the Cours des Dames.
Arrivial from the North, from Nantes :
Take the avenue du 11 novembre then follow the direction of the Vieux Port Ouest. The hotel is located at the pedestrian exit of this parking lot on the Cours des Dames
Arrival by the train station and the avenue du Général de Gaulle :
Continue to the Place de La Motte Rouge then take the Quai Valin and then the Quai Dupérré and you will find the Cours des Dames in front of the Grosse Horloge. The hotel is in front of the cruise boats for the Ile d’Aix/Fort Boyard
Arrival from Poitiers :
You are on the Boulevard Sautel, at the end of this one take on the left boulevard Cognehors then follow the direction of the old port West. The hotel is at the pedestrian exit of this parking on the cours des Dames
By train
From the train station to the hotel: Take the Avenue du Général de Gaulle in front of the train station to the Place de la Motte Rouge in front of the Vieux Port. Go straight ahead to take rue Saint-Nicolas and continue on the right towards rue Sardinerie; the hotel is located 300 meters on the right.
By plane
La Rochelle – Ile de Ré airport with direct flights : from Lyon, London, Geneva, Dublin, Bristol.
Cabs, buses and shuttles are available at the airport to reach downtown La Rochelle.

As our establishment dates from the 16th century, we do not have private parking. Nevertheless, you can park in the following public parking lots :
- St Jean d’acre (Vieux-Port Ouest) (free at night)
- Place de la Préfecture (free at night)
- Allées du Casino (free at night)
- Plage de la Concurrence (free at night)
- St Nicolas (fixed price)
- Chemin des remparts (free days and nights)
- Place de Verdun (guarded parking)
We are located Cours des Dames, in the hyper center on the Old Port and next to the Towers of La Rochelle. An ideal location for walks in the parks, restaurants, stores, the beach of the competition, the cruise ships, the cinema, the theater La Coursive, the space Encan, the aquarium, the Francofolies or for your business meetings in La Rochelle.
The hotel, old building, is in the protected area, it can not be equipped with an elevator, but the stairs are wide, which allows a very easy movement.
We only serve breakfast, for your meals you will be spoilt for choice, we are surrounded by restaurants.
Our harbor side rooms are equipped with 2 double glazed windows with an air lock in between to ensure peace and quiet.
Our courtyard rooms overlook our patio and are quiet.
Our rooms are designed for a certain number of person and it is not possible to add an extra bed.
We can provide you with a bed for your baby.
Yes, in case of early arrival or delayed departure, you can enjoy La Rochelle serenely by leaving your luggage with us.

No, our animal friends are not allowed to stay in the hotel.
On the day of your arrival, the room is available from 2:30 pm until 10:30 pm (no night arrival)
The next day you can keep the room until 11 am.
If you arrive by train, we will be able to keep your luggage at the reception but your room will be available only from 2:30 pm.
Of course, you will have to inform us beforehand.
Exceeding the hour is not possible in order to respect the arrival of the next guests and the work of the chambermaids
You can arrive until 10:30 pm. We do not do night arrivals.
We ensure a presence all night long in the hotel for emergencies and tranquility in the establishment.
This is during the closing hours of the reception.
